Multiple Teams · Winter Sports Meeting Will Be Held on Thursday, Oct. 19th

Winter Sports Meeting

Beaumont School will host its Winter Sports Meeting in the dining room on Thursday, October 19th at 6:00 p.m.

It is mandatory for the athletic department to host a meeting with parents/guardians, student-athletes and coaches to discuss various issues including OHSAA regulations, team policies and what is expected of all parties. This meeting also gives the parents an opportunity to ask questions they might have regarding their daughter’s sport.

Following the general meeting, teams will head off to have individual team meetings.

Winter activities sponsored by Beaumont School include basketball and swimming and diving as we will have an indoor track meeting after the conclusion of the cross country season. We will announce breakout rooms at the conclusion of the general meeting.

Again, these meetings should be attended by both a parent/guardian and student-athletes.

FinalForms must be updated and signed by both the parent and the student-athlete BEFORE the first practice or try-out. The link to log in is here. New users will need to create an account and past users will need to verify information and re-submit electronic signatures for this school year.

Please make sure to check the sports your daughter is planning on playing in the 2017-18 school year!

Multiple Teams · Tracey Hall Yarbrough Visits Open Gym

Tracey Hall Yarbrough, one of the great players in the rich history of The Ohio State University, stopped by Beaumont’s open gym on Saturday (Oct. 14) morning to talk to the team before the upcoming season.

Tracey played for the Buckeyes from 1985-88, earning first team All-America honors in her last two seasons while becoming the Big Ten’s first two-time Kodak All-American.

The Ohio State University Department of Athletics paid tribute to one of the all-time greats to don the scarlet and gray when it retired the No. 44 jersey of two-time All-American. She is just the second women’s basketball player at Ohio State to have her number retired after Katie Smith’s No. 30 was retired in 2001.

Almost thirty years have come and gone since Tracey’s collegiate career ended, but she still ranks second on the school’s all-time rebounding list (1,115 boards) and sixth on the all-time scoring list (1,912 points).
