Girls Varsity Basketball · Tickets Available for Beaumont Game at The Q


Beaumont fans who want to attend the varsity basketball game against St. Thomas Aquinas at Quicken Loans Arena on Wednesday, January 31st at 3:30 p.m. are required to purchase tickets to the Cavs/Miami Heat game that evening at 7:30 p.m.

All fans who want to attend the Beaumont game are required to have a ticket that will provide them access to the Cavs game. You CANNOT attend the Beaumont game without a ticket to the Cavs game.

The Beaumont athletic department has a limited block of tickets available for purchase. Tickets will be transferred via Flash Seats to the e-mail address of the person who purchases the tickets.

These Cavs tickets are in sections 229-231 and you must pay for them by credit card at this link.

Tickets will be distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Girls Varsity Basketball · Gattozzi Scores 27 in Debut as Blue Streaks Win on Opening Night


The Beaumont basketball team opened its season with a 52-46 win over Chagrin Falls on Wednesday (Nov. 29) night.

Freshman Lydia Gattozzi scored a game-high 27 points in her Blue Streak debut as part of a double-double effort. Sophomore Kendall Toppin went for eight points and junior guard Brigida Erjavec chipped in seven.

The Blue Streaks got off to a slow start and trailed the Tigers 10-5 after the first eight minutes. Beaumont won the second stanza by nine (21-12) to take a 26-22 lead into the intermission.

Chagrin Falls outscored Beaumont 12-7 in the third quarter and held a 34-33 advantage entering the final quarter.

The fourth period belonged to the Blue Streaks.

Freshman Elissa Letterio capped a run by hitting a big three and junior Hanna Pappas connected on a free throw to stake the Blue Streaks to a 48-39 advantage with less than a minute to go. Beaumont held on down the stretch to win its first home game in three seasons.

Sophomore Mia Mlynek contributed four points off the bench and freshman Tamya Edwards scored two points in her high school debut.

Chagrin Falls fell to 0-2 after opening the season with a loss against Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin on Saturday (Nov. 25).

Beaumont will look to win again on Saturday (Dec. 2) as Culver comes to Cleveland Heights.

The Beaumont freshmen will host Elyria Catholic at 11:30 a.m. before the JV takes on Culver at 1:00 p.m. and varsity wraps up the day with a 2:30 p.m. contest.
