The Beaumont School varsity tennis team beat neighborhood rival Cleveland Heights 3-2 on Wednesday (Sep. 30) afternoon.
With the win, the Blue Streaks get to retain the famed Golden Racquet, the traveling trophy awarded to the winner of the annual match.
Freshman Maggie Brady was a 6-0, 6-4 winner at third singles and Beaumont took both doubles points thanks to four seniors.
KK McNeill and Jackie Patton were 6-4, 6-2 winners at first doubles and Evelyn Brogan and Elise Evans won second doubles 6-2, 6-3.
Beaumont will host Andrews Osborne Academy on Thursday (Oct. 1). That is a 4:30 p.m. match at Purvis Park and Beaumont will celebrate its seven seniors as part of Senior Night festivities.
