The Beaumont School cross country team came out on top at Saturday’s (Sep. 5) Hawken tri-meet.
Coach Emery’s team finished with a score of 20 to edge out Lakewood (47) and the host Hawks (67).

Hawken junior Teeghan McCann won the race in 21:09.9, but the next five finishers were Blue Streaks.
Seniors Katherine Pomnean (21:44.7) and Claire Wolf (21.46.5) were second and third, respectively. Pomnean’s sophomore sister Sophia was fourth with a time of 21:49.2 and freshman Ava Hartman was the fifth to cross the finish line in 21:50.4.
Sophomore Lucy Sanders (22:13.59) was the sixth finisher in a race that featured 48 runners.
