Beaumont School junior Lydia Gattozzi went over the 1,000-point milestone in Monday’s (Feb. 3) home game against Shaker Heights High School.
Gattozzi is the fourth player in program history to reach that milestone, joining Eileen Wittman ’99, Annie Bova ’11 and senior teammate Carly Perusek.
As a freshman, Gattozzi scored 375 points in 23 games and last year as a sophomore, she added another 346 to her total.
Entering Monday’s game, Gattozzi had scored in double figures in 14 of Beaumont’s 17 games this season and in 53 of her first 65 career games.
Her career high to date is a 31-point performance against Willoughby South at Laurel School’s Gator Classic on Dec. 30, 2017.
