Girls Varsity Cross Country · Beaumont Wins Regional XC Championship


The Beaumont School cross country team captured the Division II Youngstown Regional title on Saturday (Oct. 26) at Boardman High School.

Beaumont turned in a 108 and edged St. Vincent-St. Mary by four points. Tallmadge was not far behind with a 114.

Senior Addy Ciecierski ran an 18:59.61 to finish second behind Hawken’s Ella Gilson, the 2018 Division II state champion.

Senior Mia Mlynek was fourth in the field of 151 runners with her time of 19:13.27 and fellow senior Carly Perusek was 25th among the team scoring runners with a time of 20:28.12.

Junior Claire Wolf was the 33rd place finisher as she crossed the finish line in 20:39.98 and freshman Sophia Pomnean was 44th as she covered the distance in 20:53.01.

Freshman Mya Salerno ran a 21:29.50 to finish 67th and junior Katherine Pomnean came in 76th (21:39.34) among team competitors.
