Girls Varsity Soccer · Blue Streaks Win 3-2 Thriller Over Orange

The Beaumont School varsity soccer team won a 3-2 rain-soaked thriller over Orange on Wednesday (Oct. 2) night at Denison Park.

With the win, the Blue Streaks improved to 10-3-1 on the year.

Orange jumped in front early before freshman Lexi Patton converted on a PK to tie the game.

The visiting Lions scored :38 before the intermission to take a 2-1 lead into the break and it remained that way until freshman Makende Stewart scored just 6:18 into the second period.

Stewart’s goal came after junior Caroline Pick drilled a free kick and senior Colleen Martin slid it over to her.

Patton then netted the game-winner on another PK with 5:02 to play.

Beaumont is back in action on Monday (Oct. 7) when Elyria Catholic comes to Denison Park. Its Senior Night and festivities will be held prior to the match.
