Girls Varsity Volleyball · Volleyball Team Takes Care of VASJ, 3-1

The Beaumont School varsity volleyball team dropped the first set to Villa Angela-St. Joseph on Thursday (Sep. 26) night but responded by winning the next three sets on its way to a North Coast League victory over the Vikings.

VASJ won the opener 25-18 before Beaumont won the next three sets. Scores were 25-20, 25-17 and 25-16.

Sophomore Alycen Radolovic had a team-high 15 kills, seven digs and a pair of aces. Her classmate Grace Salata dished out 24 assists and chipped in five digs.

Junior Bella Peroni led the club with 27 digs and paired that with three assists while fellow 11th graders Darby Leininger (14 kills) and Sarah Yohann (16 assists) had nice nights.

Juniors Tyah Williams (six) and Ally Ziegler (four) combined for 10 kills and sophomore Gabby Thomey was credited with the team’s other four kills.

Beaumont is idle until Tuesday’s (Oct. 1) home match against Magnificat. The tripleheader starts with freshmen at 4:30 p.m. and JV should start about 5:45 p.m.

After the JV game, the program will hold Senior Night festivities before the varsity match starts at about 7:00 p.m.
