The Beaumont School track and field team took ninth place with 36 points at the Nordonia Knights Relays which was held on Saturday (April 6).
Juniors Addy Ciecierski, Carly Perusek and Mia Mlynek teamed up with senior Ashley Rulison started the day with a bang, winning the day’s first event – the 4×1600 relay – in 21:57.60.
The Blue Streaks also won the distance medley relay as sophomore Lizzie Rubadue paired with Rulison, Ciecierski and Mlynek in a meet and stadium record time of 21:57.50. That record was set by Brunswick at last year’s meet as the Blue Devils finished in 12:52.02.
Beaumont added another three points as the 4×800 group came in sixth with a time of 10:53.97. That group was junior Hannah Heathcote to freshman Crystal Yormick to sophomore Claire Wolf to freshman Mary McDonald.
Junior Kendall Toppin, freshman Reese Brady and the O’Neill sisters – sophomore JoJo and freshman Patricia – came in third in the 4×200 relay (1:52.45) and Rubadue, Brady, Perusek and Rulison added a third place showing in the 4×400 (4:15.66).
Toppin also took tenth in the long jump and Brady cleared 4’ 10” in the high jump.
