The Beaumont School swimmers took eighth place at the Division II Spire sectional meet that was held on Friday (Feb. 8).

Relays accounted for 76 of the team’s 108 points.
The 200 free relay quartet of sophomore Ella Lisac, freshman Mateja Rudmann, freshman Camryn Koonce and sophomore Sophie Eyerman finished in 1:45.74 which was good for fourth and 30 points. That time was just about a second shy of the school record.
Eyerman started the 400 free relay before giving way to freshman Ellie Hanna. Hanna was followed by sophomore Maria Jones and Lisac and that group finished seventh with a time of 3:55.38.
Beaumont’s 200 medley relay quartet of Jones, junior True Robinson, Koonce and Rudmann placed eighth with a time of 1:59.93.
Lisac added a sixth place showing in the 50 free (25.75) and she also took 10th in the 100 free after covering the distance in 57.11.
Robinson finished 13th in the 100 breast. She touched in 1:14.27 and sophomore Audrey Zorman was two places behind her with a time of 1:14.50.
Koonce was 15th in the 100 fly (1:04.91) and Jones was directly behind her in 1:06.06. Koonce also added a 16th place in the 100 back (1:07.38).
Hanna finished 16th in both the 200 (2:08.97) and 500 (5:49.51).
District qualifiers will be finalized on Saturday (Feb. 9) and those who qualify for the Division II district meet will compete on Friday (Feb. 15) at Cleveland State University.
