The Beaumont School varsity basketball team knocked off Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin by a score of 65-53 on Tuesday (Jan. 29) night.

With the win, the Blue Streaks improve to 13-6 overall and 6-4 in the North Coast League while the Lions dip to 6-10 and 4-5 in the conference.

Coach Russell’s team hit 12 three-pointers with the trio of sophomore Elissa Letterio and juniors Mia Mlynek and Carly Perusek each connecting on three. Sophomore Lydia Gattozzi hit two triples on her way to 13 points and junior Kendall Toppin’s lone field goal was from beyond the arc.

Perusek finished with a game-high 23 points.

Beaumont will host Trinity on Saturday (Feb. 2) in what will be the home regular season finale. The junior varsity game tips at 1:00 p.m. with varsity set to get started in the neighborhood of 2:30 p.m.
