Girls Varsity Basketball · Blue Streaks Improve to 12-6 with Win at Lake Catholic


The Beaumont School varsity basketball team went on the road and knocked off Lake Catholic, 67-52, on Saturday (Jan. 26) afternoon.

With the win, the Blue Streaks improve to 12-6 overall and climb a game above the break-even mark at 5-4 in the North Coast League. Lake Catholic dipped to 6-10.

Sophomore Lydia Gattozzi led Beaumont with a game-high 17 points while sophomore Elissa Letterio and junior Carly Perusek both went for 11.

Beaumont will open its final two-game homestand of the season on Tuesday (Jan. 29) as Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin comes to Cleveland Heights. The JV game will tip at 5:30 p.m. with varsity set for a 7:00 p.m. start.
