The Beaumont School swimming and diving team defeated Laurel School by a score of 62-55 on Thursday (Dec. 13) night a tri-meet hosted by Hathaway Brown.
Hathaway Brown defeated Beaumont 83-37 and beat the Gators 80-37.

Last year at this meet, Beaumont and Laurel tied so it was a step in the right direction for Coach Younkin’s program that has a lot of youth on its roster.
Freshman Callie Piro (154.20) and senior Layah Hodges (116.20) went two-three in the diving event to help the team score.
The quartet of sophomores Maria Jones and Sophie Eyerman paired with junior True Robinson and freshman Mateja Rudmann to take second in the 200 free relay with a time of 1:53.92.
Beaumont’s top groups finished fourth in the 200 medley (2:09.18) and 400 free (4:21.17) relays.
Individually, sophomore Audrey Zorman took third in the 100 breast (1:17.20) and fifth in the 200 free (2:20.02).
Her classmate Ella Lisac was fourth in the 100 free with a time of 1:02.71 and fellow sophomore Sophie Eyerman touched in 1:03.50 to come in fifth. Lisac also took third in the 50 free (28.26) which was one spot ahead of sophomore Maria Jones (28.27).
Jones also was third in the 100 fly (1:12.77) and freshman Caitlyn Patton (1:18.48) came in fifth in that event.
Freshman Ellie Hanna had a pair of individual fourth place finishes in the 200 free (2:13.93) and 500 free (5:56.64).
Senior True Robinson came in fourth in the 200 IM (2:31.80) and fourth in 100 Breast (1:17.38).
Camryn Koonce had two fifth place finishes in the 100 Back (1:11.35) and the 200 Back (2:34.31).
Beaumont also got sixth place finishes from freshman Anja Rowane in the 500 free (7:13.42) and senior Meghan Kessinger in the 100 back (1:17.77).
The Blue Streaks are back at it on Saturday (Dec. 15) at the High School Winter Championships, hosted by Hudson High School at The Spire Institute.
