Girls Varsity Cross Country · Blue Streaks Finish Eighth at Division II State Meet


The Beaumont School cross country team took eighth place at the Division II state meet which was held on November 10th at the National Trail Raceway in Hebron, Ohio.

Lexington High School won the team title with a score of 72. Beaumont and Tuscarawas Valley tied for seventh with a score of 243 but the Trojans won the tiebreaker to push the Blue Streaks back a spot.

Junior Mia Mlynek came in ninth in the field of 177 runners as she logged a 19:11.2. Junior Addy Ciecierski, the district champion, placed 20th on Saturday with a time of 19:34.6 which garnered her All-Ohio honors.

Fellow junior Carly Perusek finished 36th with a time of 20:02.6. Sophomore Claire Wolf ran a 21:38.0 which was good for 124th. Wolf’s classmate Katherine Pomnean ran a 21:59.6 and that performance slotted her 141st.

Senior Ashley Rulison ran a 22:21.7 and freshman Anja Rowane covered the distance in 23:08.2.
