Girls Varsity Cross Country · Blue Streaks Punch Ticket to State XC Meet

The Beaumont School cross country team was the regional runner up at the Division II meet held at Youngstown Boardman High School on Saturday (Oct. 27).

In order to punch a ticket to next Saturday’s (Nov. 10) state meet which will be held at the National Trail Raceway in Hebron, the team simply had to finish in the top six at the regional meet.

Beaumont junior Addison Ciecierski, last week’s district champion, finished third on Saturday with a time of 19:34.27 and her classmate Mia Mlynek was right behind her, crossing the finish line in 19:38.10.

Senior Ashley Rulison came in 19th with a time of 20:28.56 and junior Carly Perusek was next in line in 20:31.48.

Sophomore Claire Wolf was Beaumont’s fifth placer. Her time of 22:01.10 was good for 84th.

Wolf’s classmate Katherine Pomnean ran a 22:51.68 and freshman Anja Rowane finished in 23:36.96.
