Girls Varsity Cross Country · Blue Streaks Take Third at NCL Championships

The Beaumont School cross country team took third place at the North Coast League Championships, held Saturday (Oct. 13) by Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin School.

Saint Joseph Academy won the event with 59 placers while Archbishop Hoban and Beaumont both had 67, but the Knights earned the runner-up spot on the tiebreaker.

Junior Mia Mlynek placed second (19:47.06) and her classmate Addison Ciecierski was third (19:52.20). That duo was :29.39 and :34.53, respectively, behind the race winner, Saint Joseph Academy’s Annie Allen (19:17.67).

Fellow junior Carly Perusek took ninth in 20:54.15 and sophomore Claire Wolf ran a fantastic race to come in 24th with a time of 21:45.55.

Sophomore Katherine Pomnean finished 29th with a time of 22:37.03 and freshman Anja Rowane came in 37th after she finished in 23:58.79.
