Beaumont School senior Mary Bova was named a US Lacrosse Academic All-American, the group announced Monday (June 4).
According to the US Lacrosse website, an All-Academic honoree is a player who exhibits exemplary lacrosse skills, good sportsmanship on the field and represents high standards of academic achievement in the classroom.
Bova certainly checked all those boxes. She finished her senior campaign with 19 goals and three assists while carrying a GPA north of 4.4.
In addition to earning four letters in lacrosse, Bova was a four-year mainstay on the Beaumont soccer team as its goalkeeper.
She served on the student council executive board and was a member of the French Club and the Hiking Club and was inducted into both the National Honor Society and the National French Honor Society.
Bova will enroll at Boston College in the fall and plans to study nursing.
