The Beaumont School swimming and diving team took seventh place at the North Coast League Swimming and Diving Championships which were held at Gilmour Academy on Saturday (Feb. 3).

Walsh Jesuit won the event with 122 points to edge the host Lancers (102 points). Archbishop Hoban came in third (85), followed by Lake Catholic (72) and St. Joseph Academy (62).

Padua had 53 points to finish in front of Beaumont (35) while VASJ (11), Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin (eight) and St. Thomas Aquinas (two) rounded out the ten-team field.

Maria Jones was fourth in the 100 fly and Zoe Larive took sixth in that same event. Danielle Christian placed sixth in the 100 back.

The 200 free relay quartet of Sophie Eyerman, Meghan Kessinger, Katie McGreal and Maria Jones earned a sixth place finish.

Eight girls had personal best times – a good sign as the Blue Streaks head into the Sectional Meet on Friday.
