Senior Gianna Gaspar played three seasons for the Beaumont Volleyball team. While on the team, Gianna played middle hitter. She helped lead the Bluestreaks to the District Championship, and a regional semifinal match. Gianna’s leadership helped Beaumont achieve these great milestones.
Gianna said that she has two favorite memories from playing for the Bluestreaks. “My favorite memory from Beaumont is probably tied between winning the District against NDCL, and winning the Magnificat Tournament. Both games were a challenge for all of us, but we worked as a team and pulled through with the win. We were the underdogs, yet we proved everyone wrong and showed them what we were made of.” Her favorite quote goes along with her favorite memory, “We often complicate things with fear of failure, all the baggage of winning and losing. Being the underdog is freedom.”
When Gianna is not playing volleyball, she is involved in the Fashion Club, French Club, Studio Art, Set Design/Construction and costume design for the Beaumont Drama Club. She plans to attend the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC) and study fashion design.
Gianna loves all things Cleveland sports, but her two favorite athletes are Kevin Love and LeBron James.
