Talia Trovato has been named the new head golf coach at Beaumont, the school’s Athletic Director Tim Ertle announced Monday (July 24) afternoon.

Trovato played four years of golf at Ursuline College and was a four-time all-conference performer in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference.

Prior to her days in Pepper Pike, Trovato played at Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin and was a part of four teams that placed in the top-10 at the state tournament.

As a freshman in 2009, Trovato had a two-day score of 177 while helping NDCL place seventh in the state. The following year, the Lions captured the Division II state title by 19 strokes and Trovato had back-to-back rounds of 83 at The Ohio State University’s Gray Course.

In 2010, Trovato had the second best score on a team that took fifth in Division II. The Lions bumped up to Division I in 2011 and Trovato had the third best score on her squad while helping Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin to a ninth place finish.

After graduating from Ursuline in 2016, Trovato was an assistant coach with the Ursuline Arrows golf program.

She currently resides in Mentor, Ohio.
