Soccer Team Beats Keystone 1-0 in Regular Season Finale

Wells 2017 v. Trinity

The Beaumont varsity soccer team closed the regular season with a 1-0 win over Keystone on Saturday (Oct. 14) afternoon.

Neither team scored in the first 60 minutes of action but the Blue Streaks got on the board with 19:18 remaining thanks to the Wells combo. Senior Hannah Wells played a ball to her twin sister Sarah who beat the Wildcat keeper for the only score of the match.

Junior Mackenzie Pestotnik was stellar in goal in the first 40 minutes and senior Mary Bova played the second half to earn the victory.

After back-to-back victories, Beaumont will enter the postseason with a record of 2-12-2.

The Blue Streaks play Laurel on Monday (Oct. 16) in a sectional semifinal match that will start at 4:30 p.m. at Laurel’s Butler Campus.
