Beaumont’s JV team picked up their first win of the season on Tuesday night. The Blue Streaks hosted Western Reserve Academy. The teams fought hard in the first half with Beaumont taking a 1 point lead into halftime at 10 to 9.

Beaumont saw its lead grow at the end of the 3rd quarter to 16-12. Up to that point, freshman Kendall Toppin had carried the load for the Blue Streaks. She had 10 of her game high 12 points in the first 3 quarters. Bridget Spolar picked up the pace in the 4th quarter and put the game out of reach. Bridget nailed 2 big 3 point buckets to seal the deal for the Blue Streaks. Rounding out the scoring for Beaumont was sophomore Grace Corello who finished with 5 big points, and sophomore Lexi Gisondo who nailed 2 free throws.

This was a great team effort from the JV team as their defense held Western Reserve to only 3 points in the second half. The win moves the JV team to 1-2 on the season.

Beaumont hosts Archbishop Hoban on Saturday, December 10th. Freshman will start at 11am, JV at 12:30 and Varsity at 2pm. We look forward to seeing you on Saturday!
